George W. Bohmstedt held the titles Senior Vice-President and Institute Fellow before his retirement from the American Institutes for Research in 2025. While there he was the Project Director of a 5-year Congressionally mandated evaluation of the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) and for 25 years chaired the NAEP Validity Studies Panel for the National Center for Education Statistics.
